Surf Widget Privacy Policy

FA APP DEVELOPERS LLC, doing business as FA Developers, provides Surf Widget, an app and widgets that display surf conditions for a Florida coastal location you select. An active subscription or eligible introductory trial is required to use live conditions and widgets in the subscription release.

This policy applies to the Surf Widget app and its widgets. The General Privacy Policy separately covers this website, business communications, and client dashboards.

Surf Widget stores your selected town, its conditions-provider configuration, recently downloaded conditions, onboarding preferences, and verified subscription status and widget appearance on your device. The app shares these values and, on Android, store purchase tokens with its own widgets so they can verify access and refresh your selection. These preferences and cached readings are not uploaded to an FA Developers server.

The app does not require an account or request access to your device's GPS location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera. Choosing a town does not give the app your precise device location.

The app and widgets request weather information directly from Surf Station's weather feed, NOAA/National Weather Service services, SECOORA, and other station services identified in each location's source details. Requests identify the configured station or town and include ordinary network information, such as your IP address, needed to deliver a response. These services may maintain their own operational or security logs under their respective privacy practices.

Surf Widget does not send a name, email address, advertising identifier, or precise device location with conditions requests. The conditions displayed describe the selected surf location, not your movements.

Apple or Google processes purchases and payment details through your store account. We do not receive your full payment-card number. The current release uses Apple StoreKit on iPhone and iPad to verify signed subscription information on your device. Apple purchase receipts are not sent to an FA Developers server.

On Android, the app and widgets send Google Play purchase tokens to our verification service hosted with FA Developers on Cloudflare. The service asks Google for the associated product, purchase, expiry, trial and renewal status, then acknowledges eligible purchases and returns access status. Google may also send authenticated subscription notifications to this service. Tokens and purchase details are processed to fulfill these requests, not stored in our own purchase database or intentionally written to application logs. No Surf Widget sign-in or separate customer profile is created.

Verification requests include ordinary network information, including an IP address. We keep daily-rotating hashed network identifiers and request times for rate limiting, removing entries older than 24 hours during subsequent requests. Hosting and store providers may retain their own operational or security records. Your selected town, contacts and precise location are not sent with purchase verification. Sharing the app uses your device's share sheet; we do not receive your recipients, message history or contacts.

Purchase records are retained by the stores to operate subscriptions, support restoration, and meet applicable legal and fraud- prevention obligations. Deleting the app does not erase those records or cancel a subscription. Cancel or manage renewal in the store where you subscribed; access normally continues until the paid or trial period ends.

Earlier beta builds, including build 41 and below, used RevenueCat to verify purchases and provide subscription reporting. Those builds may send purchase receipts or tokens, transaction and product identifiers, purchase history, renewal status, an anonymous app-user identifier, and technical network and app information to RevenueCat. No name, email, selected town or GPS coordinates is provided by the app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. Updating removes this integration from the app; it does not automatically delete historical provider records. Contact us for help with records we control.

Surf Widget has no advertising network and does not use purchase history for cross-app advertising tracking. The current app has no third-party subscription analytics SDK. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Widgets use Surf Widget's own branding; source citations identify data providers.

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, app version, and a description of the issue. We use that information to respond and provide support. Please do not include passwords or other sensitive information in support messages.

You can remove widgets at any time and choose another supported town. App and widget preferences and cached conditions are stored locally; the operating system controls removal and backup of that local storage. Removing a widget alone does not necessarily erase the app's stored preferences.

Contact us about information you have sent to our support team, including privacy or deletion requests, at support@fadevelopers.com. You may also request deletion of subscription data we control; we may need information sufficient to locate and verify the anonymous purchase record. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details. Records required for legal or fraud-prevention purposes may need to be retained. Deletion does not cancel store billing; cancel your subscription separately. Requests concerning information held by a conditions provider may need to be made directly to that provider.

We will update this policy and its effective date when the app's information practices change.
