Privacy Policy

This policy explains how FA Developers handles information across our websites and mobile applications, including Commit.

Effective July 18, 2026

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to FA Developers websites, services, and apps that link to it. Different apps may offer different features and therefore handle different information. When an app-specific notice conflicts with this general policy, the app-specific notice controls for that app.

Information we collect

Depending on the service or app you use, we may collect:

  • Information you provide, such as your name, email address, support message, feedback, or project details submitted through our website or by email.
  • App and device information, such as a device-generated identifier, app version, operating system, feature settings, and diagnostic or usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve an app.
  • Transaction information, such as payment status, amount, and related identifiers. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored directly by FA Developers apps.
  • Website information, such as basic server logs that may include IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps.

Commit app privacy details

Commit uses Apple's Screen Time, Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings frameworks to enforce app blocks and daily limits that you choose. The Screen Time selections used for enforcement are stored on your device and shared only with Commit's iOS extensions through Apple's protected app-group storage.

To operate commitments, Commit sends a random device identifier and commitment information—such as commitment type, selected-item count or label, amount, deadline, status, and selected charity—to our service. The service also receives periodic check-ins while commitments are active so it can verify status and respond when authorization is removed or a commitment is broken.

Commit uses Stripe to authorize, save, and, when applicable, charge a payment method. Stripe handles your payment details. FA Developers receives transaction identifiers and status information needed to administer the commitment and track any related charity allocation. Commit does not use this information for advertising and does not sell it.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot our apps and services;
  • process and verify app features, transactions, and user-requested actions;
  • respond to support requests, feedback, and business inquiries;
  • detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical failures;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms; and
  • understand and improve performance and reliability.

When we disclose information

We may disclose information to service providers that help us run our products, including cloud hosting, database, payment, email, and technical-support providers. Commit currently relies on Apple platform services, Stripe for payments, Supabase for data infrastructure, and Render for backend hosting. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transfer, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating active commitments, maintaining transaction and compliance records, resolving support requests, preventing abuse, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and service.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send full card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive information in a support message.

Your choices and requests

You may change or revoke device permissions in iOS Settings, subject to the rules of any active commitment. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control. Some information may be retained when required for transactions, security, disputes, or law.

To make a privacy request, email will@fadevelopers.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our products or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the relevant app or service when appropriate.
