General Privacy Policy
This policy explains how FA Developers handles information through our website, business communications, and client dashboards. Our mobile apps have separate, product-specific policies.
Scope and app-specific policies
This General Privacy Policy applies to the FA Developers public website, inquiries and support communications, project relationships, and password-protected client dashboards. It does not replace the separate privacy policy for an FA Developers mobile app.
The Commit Privacy Policy and the Surf Runner Privacy Policy describe the information handled by those apps. If an app-specific policy conflicts with this general policy for that app, the app-specific policy controls.
Information we handle
- Communications and project information, including your name, email address, organization, support message, project requirements, files, feedback, and other information you choose to send by email or provide during a business relationship.
- Client-dashboard information, including an organization code, authentication and session records, the content authorized users draft or publish, and timestamps associated with updates.
- Website and security information, which may include IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referral information, and technical logs generated by our hosting and security infrastructure.
The public marketing website uses the Google tag for Google Ads measurement. Depending on your cookie choice, Google may receive online identifiers, cookie data, IP address, browser and device details, referral information, pages visited, and advertising-interaction data. The tag does not receive the name, email address, organization, or project description you enter in our quote form.
Client-dashboard authentication
Client dashboards use an organization code and passcode. Passcodes are stored as one-way derived hashes rather than readable text. Successful sign-in creates a strictly necessary, secure session cookie that normally expires after 12 hours. Session tokens are stored server-side only in hashed form.
The website has no password-recovery, password-display, or password-change feature. If a credential must ever be replaced, FA Developers provisions a new salted hash outside the client dashboard and invalidates existing dashboard sessions.
To prevent password guessing and abuse, we create short-lived records based on hashed versions of an IP address and organization code when a sign-in fails. We use this information only for security, rate limiting, and troubleshooting.
How we use information
- respond to inquiries, provide support, and discuss or deliver requested services;
- create, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot websites, apps, and client dashboards;
- authenticate authorized client users and publish client-approved content;
- detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and technical failures;
- maintain business, transaction, and support records; and
- comply with law and protect our users, clients, services, and legal rights.
When we disclose information
We disclose information to service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate our business and products. These providers may include website and database hosting, cloud infrastructure, email, security, and technical-support services. They process information under their own contracts and privacy terms.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect rights or safety, during a business transfer, or when you direct or consent to the disclosure. We do not sell personal information for money. Google may process website and advertising-interaction data for measurement and advertising services according to your consent choice, our Google Ads settings, and Google's terms and privacy policy.
Advertising measurement and cookie choices
We use Google Ads measurement to understand whether advertising leads people to our website and helps generate inquiries. Google's tag loads with advertising and analytics storage denied by default. If you select “Allow,” the tag may store or access cookies and use the data described above for measurement and advertising features. If you select “Decline,” those storage permissions remain denied, although Google may receive limited, cookieless measurement signals.
You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie Settings” in the website footer. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. Clearing browser data may reset it. You can also learn more in the Google Privacy Policy.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. The exact period depends on the information and may include the duration of a client relationship, the time needed to provide support, maintain business or legal records, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Expired dashboard sessions and old login-security records are deleted during normal system cleanup.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or other highly sensitive information in an ordinary email or support message.
Your privacy choices and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we control, and to object to or restrict certain uses. These rights may be subject to verification and legal exceptions. Authorized client users may also ask us to correct or remove dashboard information associated with their organization.
Submit a request to support@fadevelopers.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the request. You may also contact us if you want to appeal a decision about a privacy request.
Children
The FA Developers website, business services, and client dashboards are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information through them. If you believe a child has provided information through these services, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate. Surf Runner has its own children-and-parents disclosure in its app-specific policy.
International processing
FA Developers is based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. We use information in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date. When required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially changing how previously collected information is used.
